To ensure a transparent, professional, and high-quality evaluation process, the involvement of experienced and knowledgeable juries is essential. Therefore, the Call for Jury Form is introduced to invite qualified experts from academia, industry, professional bodies, and relevant sectors to participate as jurors in assessing competition entries. Jury members will play a significant role in evaluating the innovation projects based on predetermined criteria, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring fairness and excellence throughout the judging process.

Through the participation of competent jurors, BUILDX GIC 2026 aspires to uphold the highest standards of evaluation while enhancing the credibility and prestige of the competition at both national and international levels.

1. Participation is divided into seven (2) categories:

i. Higher Education Institution (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) Students (Local)

vi. Higher Education Institution (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) Students (International)

2. Entries may be submitted IN TEAMS OF UP TO THREE (3) – FIVE (5) MEMBERS. All team members must BELONG TO THE SAME CATEGORY. Each entry may include one (1) accompanying advisor, or supervisor. 

3. All participants must submit a video presentation link (uploaded to YouTube with “Unlisted” settings), with a maximum duration of 5 minutes, by 31 July 2026 (11:59 PM, Malaysia Time, MYT, GMT+8). Only submissions in English will be accepted and evaluated.

4. All eligible and completed submissions will receive a digital participation certificate. Awards, including Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, will be granted based on the evaluation results. All certificates will be issued in digital format only.

5. The competition will commence on 1 June 2026, with registration closing on 30 June 2026, and results to be announced on 15 September 2026 (subject to change). The Organizer reserves the right to amend the timeline if necessary.

JURY APPOINTMENT
- We are pleased to invite qualified professionals from academia, industry, and related fields to serve as jurors and contribute to the success of this international competition.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Jurors must possess substantial experience in evaluating innovation-based competitions.
- Jurors must not be participants in the current event.
- Prior recognition or awards in innovation competitions will be considered an added advantage.

NOTIFICATION OF SELECTION

- Successful applicants will receive an official letter of appointment and a certificate of appreciation. 

- Notifications will be sent via email to selected candidates only.

CANCELLATION POLICY
- If a selected juror is unable to fulfill the appointment, we kindly request prompt notification so that a replacement can be arranged.

JUDGING PROCEDURE
- Physical attendance is not required. All evaluation processes will be conducted through an online system. 

- Access credentials and comprehensive judging guidelines will be provided via email to confirmed jurors.

 - The judging period will run from 1 to 14 August 2026 (subject to change). The Organizer reserves the right to amend the timeline if necessary.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

- Jurors must declare any potential conflicts of interest, including close relationships (e.g., family, friends, colleagues from the same institution, or students) with participants. 

- Failure to disclose such conflicts may result in the disqualification of the affected entries.
