Ms. Terri Johnson has been a licensed social worker since 1996 with experience in schools, correctional facilities, the Baltimore City Health Department, hospitals, and managed care settings. She self-published during the Pandemic 2020 a children's story and activity/coloring book about body safety, awareness, and one of her mottos is "Prevention OVER Intervention!" In 2001, she became a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor. Ms. T. Johnson, as she is lovingly called by her students, has worked as a therapist in private practice since 2009 through her consultancy, Terri E. Johnson Clinical Consultative Services. She serves women, transitioning adults, and couples through the employee assistance program or EAP. Johnson holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Morgan State University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore, School of Social Work. She is the proud mother of two young adult children, Jameela and Jabari, who were both taught about their “Body Safety Zones” as toddlers! Prevention of child abuse/exploitation, and trafficking and breaking the stigma of mental illness are two areas she works, tirelessly, to spotlight!
