Project Bread urges us to support hungry families. Fund SNAP caseworkers now!  Without this investment, people across Massachusetts will struggle to access the food assistance they need. Urge your State Representative to support Amendment #899 and fund DTA caseworkers.  

Many priests, religious sisters & brothers, and others serving the Church throughout the US will be forced to abandon their ministries if policymakers do not act soon. Many Catholic institutions have already had to part with men and women who served in our country for years because of challenges with the Religious Worker Visa Program.  Ask your members of Congress to join with legislators on both sides of the aisle in supporting this much needed source of relief for people of faith and communities nationwide. 

When the Protect Act came before the Massachusetts House, MIRA supporters sent over 1,200 emails to their State Representatives. The bill passed. Now it’s before the Senate – and we need to do it again.

At the beginning of the 119th Congress, the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act of 2025 (H.R. 1144) was reintroduced in the U.S. House of Representatives. In April 2025, the chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Migration joined with national partners in calling on the House to pass bipartisan bill H.R. 1144.
