ACCESSIBILITY & INCLUSION - VENUE
Venue accessibility: Queens and Cosy Club
The venue for BSP2022AC is accessible for people with mobility considerations. More information is on the location page, and here is the link for site accessibility. Images of the location are available, we have tried to photograph all the places that include steps and the nearby lifts so that accessibility needs can be met.
From the entrance level floor (where the main bathrooms, coffee area, quiet rooms and room LT1 are located) there are 6 steps down to additional bathrooms, and a further 6 to the room LT2. From the entrance level floor, there are 4 steps down to the rooms MR2 and MR3. All steps are outfitted with handrails and a stairlift.
Follow this link for information on the conference meal at the Cosy Club accessibility.
Quiet rooms
We have a dedicated quiet room which may be used by conference attendees at any point should they need a quiet space. The room will be indicated in the building, or please ask about it at reception. The quiet room will be in room D, E or F on the building map.
Written versions of the papers
Written copies of presenters’ papers are provided where possible, and are meant solely for accessibility and inclusion purposes. Please read online and only download if necessary for any specific accessibility software then delete afterwards. If you would like a copy of the paper, as with all events, you should reach out to the speaker. Thank you. Access the google drive with written presentations (now closed).
Accessible slideshows
For speakers using powerpoint/slides, please consider the following guidelines.
Covid-19 advice at the University of Exeter venue
All in person attendees should check out the Covid-19 advice for the Queen's Building during BSP2022AC.
Fragrance advice for BSP2022AC
No fragrances, please. We are trying to minimize the impact of fragrances on people with chemical sensitivities, which can include migraines, illness and allergic reactions. Please help us by avoiding fragranced products while attending the conference - particularly any perfumes, cologne, scented lotions, and scented aftershave. Thank you for helping with this!
