POWERPOINT ADVICE
If you are using PowerPoint/slides, please consider the following guidelines to make your presentation as accessible as possible:
Ensure good contrast between text colours and background colours e.g. dark text on a light background (off-white, light grey, cream, pastel - avoid white backgrounds due to glare). Try to avoid contrasting red and green as these colours are hard to distinguish for those with colour blindness.
Keep the typeface/font simple (e.g. Arial, Calibri, Century Gothic, Helvetica, Tahoma or Verdana).
Use large type sizes. To make the main text readable, it is recommended to use a font size of 20 points (minimum) and for headings, use a font size of 30 points (minimum). Avoid italics, which can be difficult to read.
Keep the layout simple and avoid overloading each page by limiting the amount of text on each slide.
Please include your pronouns alongside your name and affiliation in your title slide.
Remember to bring your PowerPoint presentations on a USB stick. Please do not expect to be able to download your PowerPoint from emails, online clouds etc. during the panel, or during the break prior to your panel.
