CONFERENCE FEES: FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Applications for bursaries are available for those needing financial assistance during early bird registration only, and are only open to speakers. There are no general bursaries for travel and accommodation.

General bursaries

> Attendance bursaries: open to student / early career researcher / emeritus / independent / unwaged / low income speakers. The bursary will waive the attendance fee. The bursary does not include BSP membership fees.

> Child care bursaries: open to all speakers. This is intended for speakers with specific child needs in order to present their paper and attend other sessions.

Attendance and child care assistance are not mutually exclusive; both are however limited, and if there are more eligible applicants than we can fund, the decision will be made on the strength of the application.

Special bursary

> BSP President's discretionary bursary: under exceptional circumstances, a significant bursary may be offered upon application for people with disabilities or financial issues.

Again, bursary funds are limited, and if there are more eligible applicants than we can fund, the decision will be made on the strength of the application.
