Using the winning ideas from the design matrix, the basic idea for system design came together. Below is the final hand-drawing of the system with the chosen design components.
The main components of the chosen design were:
A removable harvesting bucket that slides into the box
A narrow ramp on one side of the box
A moisture release feature, and a slight tilt to the overall system for water drainage
