If you plan on retiring this school year (2025-26), the deadline to submit your retirement letter to the district and the BSCTA is January 1, 2026. I have attached and linked some helpful documents below to make the retirement process as easy as possible (PLEASE READ THEM ALL!).

II.  Bay Shore UFSD Retirement Details/Reminders:

• Please see the attached documents, including an editable letter to the district that may be used by anyone planning on retiring, effective June 2026.

• Feel free to set up a meeting with me at the BSCTA Office if you have any specific questions or concerns prior to completing your paperwork.  NOTE: A copy of every retirement letter must be emailed or delivered to the BSCTA office so they can be placed on file.

III. NYSTRS/PENSION/RETIREMENT WORKSHOP:

• The workshop being held at the BSCTA office on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 is currently FULL. If you RSVP'd but cannot make it, please email our office manager, Linda, ASAP at bsctasec@gmail.com so we can give your spot to a member on the waitlist.
