Of the 2019 spring and fall graduates of English for Secondary Teachers, I was chosen by the English Department as the Outstanding Graduate.
I was chosen by the English Department scholarship committee to receive the Earl A. Moore and James T. and Sara Yarbrough Whitaker scholarships.
I have been a member of Kentucky Education Association Student Program, or the Student National Education Association, since fall 2015, and last year, WKU's three officers received this scholarship.

Here, I presented my case for singular "they" to a general audience. I reviewed grammar and stressed the practical benefits of using the pronoun. My presentation is also cataloged on TopScholar.
My updated research on poetry draws on Dr. Tom Hunley's ideas on memorization. This version was published in WKU's analytical writing journal, The Ashen Egg.
