Getting students to talk
Have a think about your students. Discuss with the members of your group:
- How comfortable are they when speaking in English? How fluent? How grammatically accurate?
- What are the differences with other students in non-bilingual groups in terms of their aural reception skills and oral production?
- Do you have to dumb down your language so that they can understand you?
- Do they speak English among them while interacting in class?
