 A movement to protect 30% of the world's ocean by 2030

30x30 Indonesia curates restoration events whilst creating opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds to partake in non-traditional education sessions, emphasizing on intergenerational collaboration. The project’s main objectives are to centralize efforts to advocate for the global goal to protect at least 30% of the world’s ocean through a network of Marine Protected Areas.

Events

On Earth Day 2022, we launched the 30x30 Coral Garden with local community leaders in Tulamben - a small fishing village in Bali.

To celebrate World Ocean Day 2022, we planted 200 Mangroves for Jakarta alongside a team of high school students.

In the lead-up to COP15, we hosted the inaugural 30x30 Youth Ocean Conference in Bali, Jakarta, and virtually.

In 2021, we launched 30x30 Indonesia by hosting a virtual conference entitled Inspiring the Youth to Protect Our Ocean.

30x30 Goal in the G20 Leader's Declaration

We are pleased that the 30x30 goal has been included coming out of the G20 Leaders Declaration. This includes the commitment to protect 30% of the world's ocean and 30% of the world's land by 2030.
