Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Will every question asked to the HOA be shared on this page?
This page will be used to answer commonly asked questions for the benefit of the whole neighborhood, since we receive many people asking similar questions, it is difficult to respond to all emails. This FAQ page was recently suggested by a neighbor and the board thought it was a good idea to address frequently asked questions.
What is the latest news about the pool house rebuild?
Demolition is complete and the board is interviewing architects and contractors.
Will the rebuilt pool house be rebuilt exactly as it was before, or will there be improvements?
It is too early to say for sure. Insurance will replace what was there, "like-for-like". Any material improvements that increase the cost will be on the HOA. Some residents would like to see improvements, while maintaining a reasonable expense to the HOA. Some residents don't want to see any improvements if there will be any expense to the HOA. We are trying to balance the different perspectives to make decisions that will be best for the neighborhood and will make as many people as possible happy.
Can residents expect any refund or reduction of dues since the pool is not opening in 2026?
No. Any money saved by not opening the pool will be allocated to other neighborhood expenses, including potential out of pocket costs of the pool house rebuild, a contribution to the reserve fund, and summer activities/events for resident families.
Why did we need a gate at the entrance road to the pool and recreation area?
This was installed in order to improve safety of our facilities overnight. For years, there was a chain that neighbors would open in the mornings and close in the evenings. Residents became unwilling to volunteer for this responsibility and it became a challenge making sure the area was regularly accessible during "open" hours. In addition, we have had increased instances of improper use of the facilities and wanted to add security so that our neighborhood facilities didn't continue to be a hang out place for non-residents, especially at night.
Will there be swim team for 2026 season?
Yes, swim team has made arrangements for the 2026 season. Contact the swim team directly for more information.
Are the courts open for play?
Yes, the courts are open and it appears that people love using them!
When are the monthly board meetings and are they open to the residents?
Regular board meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. Per our neighborhood bylaws, only the annual meeting (held in May of each year) and special meetings are required to be open to residents. Although all meetings are not open to residents, meeting minutes are available on the Homeowner Portal, updated regularly.
What is the best way to get information about the neighborhood and who do I contact about questions or concerns?
AMG is the liaison to the board members. All communication sent by residents to the board should go through AMG by emailing either Ashley Rammacher or Shelby LeHew, who will share the information with the board for review. Information and updates about the neighborhood is also regularly emailed out to homeowners by AMG. The AMG representative for Brightmoor is change, so as soon as the new contact information is available, it will be distributed to the neighborhood.
