Monday 14th September & Tuesday 15th September, 2026
Similar to previous years, prior to the main conference we have planned a school aimed towards students and early career researchers interested in furthering their knowledge of galactic chemical evolution. During this school, workshops and lectures will be led by researchers in topics spanning experimental nuclear physics, stellar physics and modelling galactic chemical evolution, providing hands-on research experience of subjects within the field.
School registration opens: 23rd March
School registration closes: 5th June
The organisers invite all those who are interested in joining the school to register using the button below or the page linked at the top of this website.
If you are a student attending a SEPnet university (University of Portsmouth, Queen Mary University of London, Royal Holloway University of London, University of Southampton or University of Sussex, in this case not including students at the University of Hertfordshire), we would ask you to please register for the school on the SEPnet Eventbrite page instead. Registration for the main meeting should still be done through the registration page on this website, however.
Due to the generous sponsorships of supporting organisations, there is no registration fee to attend the BRIDGCE school!
School dates: Monday 14th September and Tuesday 15th September 2026
(Detailed schedule will be updated here)
The conference will be held in the newly opened Spectra building of the University of Hertfordshire. Located in Hatfield, England, this building houses the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science (SPECS), with the Centre for Astrophysics Research (CAR) located on the third floor.
The majority of the conference will be held in this building within room SP3006, with excursions and social activities bringing us elsewhere.
