The metallicity group (Z-Group) of the Centre for Astrophysics Research, University of Hertfordshire, is excited to announce the next installment of the annual meeting for the BRIDGCE UK Network. This meeting will be held from Wednesday 16th September until Friday 18th September 2026 at the College Lane campus of the University of Hertfordshire, located in Hatfield, England.

The BRIDGCE 2026 Annual Meeting, hosted at the University of Hertfordshire, combines the fields of nuclear physics and astrophysics to highlight the latest interdisciplinary advancements in these fields, fostering knowledge exchange among BRIDGCE researchers. This meeting offers participants a chance to present their research and engage in discussions with prominent researchers from the UK and the EU. Key topics covered include nuclear astrophysics, observational astronomy, stellar populations, stellar explosions and ejecta, and galactic chemical evolution.

We are also excited to share that, like last year, the meeting will be accompanied by a school aimed towards early career researchers and students interested in the field of galactic chemical evolution. We encourage prospective students to attend the school, which will be held during the two days leading up to the main meeting (Monday 14th September and Tuesday 15th September).
