On campus
We will be facilitating bookings for on-campus accommodation at either the de Havilland or College Lane campuses. These rooms are single ensuites but only De Havilland rooms come with a fridge. College Lane rooms do not have a fridge but contain slightly larger beds and the accommodation is newer. Unfortunately, no catering will be available on either campus. All rooms will cost £65.00 + VAT per night. Please note the venue for the meeting is on College Lane campus. Those staying in De Havilland can access the venue by bus or with a 30 minute walk.
Accommodation is available for days ranging from September 13th to September 18th 2026. There will be an option to opt-in for on-campus accommodation on the registration form.
Hatfield and St Albans
Outside of the campus, several hotels are available in Hatfield, including Travelodge, Premier Inn, and The Comet Hotel. All are within walking distance of the venue.
Other accommodation is available in the nearby St Albans, from which the venue can be accessed by bus. This includes another Travelodge and Premier Inn, as well as The White Hart Hotel.
Bayfordbury Observatory
We will be hosting an excursion to the University of Hertfordshire's Bayfordbury Observatory for attendees of the Annual Meeting on the evening of September 16th. This will include a planetarium show and a tour of the telescopes. A fee will be collected closer to the time to cover dinner and transport expenses. The excursion will take place from approximately 6pm to 9pm. Please indicate your interest in this excursion on the registration form and you will be contacted with further details and payment link at a later time.

Things to do in the area
In Hatfield, where the school and meeting will take place, many shops and restaurants can be found at the Galleria, the main shopping centre. Hatfield House and Gardens are also worth a visit, either to explore the main house or take a walk around the beautiful grounds.
St Albans is only a short bus ride away and hosts museums and historical sites, including from the time of the Roman occupation of Britain. More entertainment can be found on the St Alban's tourist website here.
Hatfield is also in close proximity to London for those happy to travel a little further. A direct train runs from Hatfield train station to King's Cross in about 30 minutes.
Places to eat
Cafés are available on campus, particularly the RORE café next to the College Lane reception desk which stays open outside of term time. There is also a Wetherspoons in central Hatfield and various restaurants available at the Galleria, which are within walking distance of the venue.
Presentation Guidelines
