The STEM Impact & Leadership Alliance holds annual elections for officer positions in May. Only members who've been recognized on the roster for at least 2 weeks and are active before application week are allowed to run. Officers are allowed to run for re-election. Officer positions are good for your record and build valuable leadership experience.
However, this benefit scales with dedication. Failure to properly carry out duties will result in consequences, which may include termination OR probation. Those who win elections are set to become their respective officers, pending there are no ethics, integrity, or honor code violations throughout the process to ensure fairness.
Elections are held in May. Pay close attention to announcements as they come out about elections and the status of the application page.

The STEM Impact & Leadership Alliance holds annual elections for officer positions in May. As per the SILA constitution, SILA held its annual elections for officer positions for the term of 2026-2027. The status of the election is as stated:
