Students interested in joining the STEM Impact & Leadership Alliance are encouraged to apply at the beginning of each academic year. Membership is open to all individuals who are passionate about STEM, leadership, and Community Impact. Members are expected to actively participate in meetings, contribute to initiatives, and collaborate with peers to develop innovative mindsets. This is an opportunity to grow both academically and as a leader while making a meaningful difference. Click on the logo to the left of this text to learn more or start the process today!
Leadership positions within the organization are available to all dedicated members who have demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and a commitment to the alliance's mission. Officers play a key role in planning events, leading projects, and guiding the direction of the organization. Candidates must first be members in good standing, and then will go through a selection event determined by the members of the organization at the end of the year, typically in May. Officers are elected the year before the year their term starts. Please note that members must have been formally recognized on our roster for a minimum of 2 weeks before the election date in order to run.
Students, after members, can get involved with our initiatives. These include program involvement, access, and any planned initiatives such as outreach services, volunteering, or any special initiatives we do in our meetings. Members should check the Initiatives page to check if there are any initiatives going on as of checking this page. Any questions can be referred to the president.
Non-members who are interested in contributing to specific initiatives without becoming a member are welcome to collaborate with our leadership team independently. This pathway offers students an opportunity to bring their own ideas, skills, and perspectives to ongoing projects or planned events without committing to a membership. Independent collaborators may work alongside members on select initiatives with approval from leadership, offering flexibility while upholding our STEM vision and the structure of the organization. Contact our Operations Head for further steps.
The STEM Impact & Leadership Alliance actively seeks to partner with other clubs and organizations to expand our reach and impact. Organized collaborations allow groups to combine resources, share expertise, and co-host events or initiatives that align with mutual goals. Other clubs or organizations are welcome to contact our branch president for further steps.
PROGRAM INVOLVEMENT OPTIONS:
The STEM Impact & Leadership Alliance (SILA) has the WolfPack Academic Mentorship Program, a structured peer tutoring initiative designed to expand academic support during Pack Time and after school while building leadership opportunities for students.
