Funny Things Kids Say

Brent & Woofy have been preforming for kids since 1993. Brent has heard all kinds of funny things kids say. Here are a few examples...

When my son was about 3 years old he proudly announced one day, "Someday I want to go to New York City so I can see the Entire State Building!"

A young girl once told me her name was 'Sarah' and I asked her if it was Sarah with an 'H.' She looked at me and without hesitation said, "No. It's Sarah with an S!"

Then there's the time I was standing on the stage just getting ready to perform when the cutest little red-curly-haired 2 year old girl was staring at me and my balding head with a real puzzled look on her face and she uttered these words, "You're hair is broken!"

When my nephew was young he misused the classic line from Dirty Harry when he instructed his mom to, "Go ahead! Waste my day!"

Once I was performing a song and I asked the adults to join in, I like to call them the 'big kids.' One tiny little girl looked at me when I said it, then looked at one of the 'big kids', then looked back at me and announced, "She's not a big kid, she's a doughnut!" The young girl was trying to say 'grown-up' and it came out as 'doughnut'! Now when I sing the song I ask the 'doughnuts' to join it!

I was doing last minute preparations for a show when I applied some Lypsyl to my lips. a small boy saw me and looked at his friend with a surprised look on his face and whispered, "Look!! He's putting on make-up!!!"

While preparing the Brent & Woofy Radio Show special Halloween edition, Pam and her 5 year old grandson Logan stopped over so I could interview Logon on what his Halloween costume will be this year. After the interview the conversation turned to Woofy’s Halloween Adventure Game. I wanted to watch a 5 year old play the game and when I connected to my web page and it flashed across the screen an excited Logon bellowed out…”Oh! You have this website too!!!” Pam and I giggled when he said this! How innocent the kids are!

In March of 2017 I was setting up my show inside while all the kids were waiting patiently outside. Minutes before showtime a six-year-old excited young fella ran into the room and bellowed out, "I hear there's going to be a show in here! Where's the TV?!"

When Daniel was 3 years old we were driving in the car and he was strapped in the front seat with a handful of change. While he was counting his treasure he looked at me with a huge smile and in a big proud voice he exclaimed, "I have some pennies, a boat, and a moose!"
