BEAR
The aim of BEAR project was to evaluate the differential effects between moderate-to-vigorous and light-intesnity exercise on psychological pathways of food reward, appetite, and energy intake in physically inactive individuals. By getting better insights into the nuanced relations, this project has relevant implications for healthy eating and weight management in healthy albeit physically inactive and/or lower-fit individuals.

Between March and July 2024, the research team invited 24 children with traits of ADHD and parents to co-select different exercise-focused videogames and co-select the intervention activities using a think-aloud approach. Specifically, the game activities aim to induce a moderate level of physical activity and can challenge attention, multi-tasking, fitness, and motor skills in children with traits of ADHD. We are currently developing a prototype of our intervention and evaluating its efficacy.
