For this assignment, we were given an opportunity to use collaborative tools and applications with a partner to explore global technology issues, and practice core digital literacy skills. We had to research any area not in the United States and create a word document with proper a hierarchy and word produced bibliography in APA format. Then, we put the information we obtained researching, in a PowerPoint. We had to make the presentation aesthetically pleasing with the information communicated effectively.

I learned a lot about about Abu Dhabi, and Ireland by proxy. I found it very interesting the ratio of men to women in Abu Dhabi is 2:1, being dominated by men for laborious reasons. But that is not the point of the lessons learned, I learned a lot about PowerPoint desktop. When we did the PowerPoint SimPath, I did learn a lot of this information, but doing this project allowed me to apply what I learned and explore so much more. I used the SmartArt feature to make a Venn Diagram, and used Excel to make a column chart. I also learned the capabilities of images in PowerPoint, I played with moving images to the back, making them transparent, etc. Overall, it was a very fun project, and I learned a lot, not just about the two areas Coreem and I researched, but about the technology that has been around me my whole life, that I have not been using to its fullest extent.
