Ailurus Fulgens is an action platformer game where the player, who is a Red Panda, is on a journey to find and defeat his/her nemesis, the Snow Leopard. The only objective and rule of this game is to find the way out of the forest and into the mountains while defeating the many enemies that come in your way.

A rolling movement feature that allows players to transverse longer distance in a shorter period of time.
Provides the players with more movement options, more importantly, it is fun.
A high jumping movement feature that provides 5x more height compared to the normal jump
This is actually initially a bug caused by the 45 degree collision tiles. These tiles causes the player to be launched in the air when player walk and jump at the same time on these specific tiles.

The levels in the world of Ailurus Fulgens have different themes which are summer, autumn and winter.
The color palette for each theme is different but the art style is kept consistent throughout all the levels.
To make the game interesting and more pleasing visually to increase players engagement rate during gameplay.

It was all action-parkour type levels, gets boring very fast.
It was not true to size and the level layout is too small for players to have decent gameplay experience.
↑ Revised Level 1 (Action-focused) Blockout
After going through some thinking, I decided to have 5 levels in the game where it will start with a more action focused level and have the second level as a mainly parkour focused level. The same sequence is also used for the third and fourth level while the fifth and last level is still kept as an action-packed level as it is the boss level.

The variety of gameplay experiences causes the game to be more engaging, increasing the chances the players will enjoy playing the game.
The longer length layouts and increased difficulty in some levels also allows the gameplay to be challenging yet fun.
