A singleplayer vertical shoot'em up game set in outer space where a Hero Pilot in a galaxy far far away is infiltrating an enemy territory with the objective of defeating a superior unknown entity that poses a huge threat to the existence of his home planet called the Uranus 92.
In Abyss, the player plays as the Hero Pilot and has the objective of eliminating as many enemy ships that gets in the way as possible using any means necessary.
Made with Stencyl.
A blackhole ability with a moderately long cooldown that absorbs, damages and destroys all lower-tier enemy spacecrafts. When ability is in used, no other enemy spacecrafts will spawn.
This feature is implemented to allow players to have a few seconds of mental reset even in the middle of hoarding enemy spacecrafts.
This also allows the game to be still challenging but not extremely difficult, which in my opinion, makes the gameplay experience more enjoyable.
Occasionally during gameplay, a trap entity will appear in the form of a spike bomb that shoots out bullets upon breakage.
This feature allows the game to be more engaging as it forces players to be more attentive during gameplay and it also prevents players on solely holding down the shoot button throughout the whole gameplay.
