For my third project, I created a responsive website to assist people dealing with mental health issues. It provides users with a resource database to search for health care providers and organizations that deal with mental health. Additionally, it features direct links to the 988 website for individuals that might be in need of immediate help. I served as the UX/UI Designer and User Experience Researcher.
These examples depict the design and functionality of moving through the website while researching or seeking assistance. The site features the ability to create an account, to view one’s research history, or to seek immediate assistance.
I built the wireframes, conceived the frontend design, and performed user research to guarantee a comfortable user interaction. The most difficult aspect of this project was trying to conceive of the all potential uses of such a website, yet keep it concise. I overcame this by doing research, building personas, and conducting user studies to help promote a sense of empathy, provide easy navigation for those that could likely be in state of distress, and create much of the envisioned intent for the design.
