One night we were just hanging out. Doing the usual stuff. There was this Winnie the Pooh stuffed purse in the corner of my room. Nobody knows where it came from. I grabbed it and threw it at my friend. While it was in the air, I yelled, “YOU’RE POOH!” and ran. That’s how the game started.
The game is just called Pooh. We pick an area to play in. One person is Pooh first, and they have to stand at a counting spot we all agree on. They count to 60. That's a full minute for everyone else to run away and hide. When Pooh is done counting, they sprint out to find people.
The goal is to throw the Pooh plush at someone and hit them. If you hit them, they’re Pooh now. And you are safe. If you’re not Pooh but you accidentally touch the plush when it’s on the ground, you become Pooh.
If Pooh misses their throw, they have to go get the plush no matter where it lands. It could be over a fence or in a bush. While they are getting it, everyone else is hiding. Also, friends will shove you out into the open if Pooh is near. No one is safe.
We’ve played it so many times now that it’s like our neighborhood Olympics. People go full ninja mode, diving behind cars, sprinting across lawns, even climbing fences.
