The BBL has won an FWF grant for a collaborative project with Gregory Gerling (University of Virginia) and Francis McGlone (University of Liverpool) to examine the physical and psychological properties of friendly social touch and to explore the relevance of these properties for the affective and health benefits of such touch.

The BBL has made stops in the USA, Singapore and Hong Kong. It will now operate out of Innsbruck University.
