Vanessa Kaufmann (Ph.D. Student)
Vanessa obtained her bachelor‘s degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Osnabrück. She is currently working as a PhD student under the supervision of Annett Schirmer. Her main research interest lies in understanding the mechanisms and neural correlates of affectionate touch between humans and non-human animals such as pets.

Christine Nussbaum (Ph.D. Student)
Tine has obtained a Bachelor degree in psychology from the University of Jena in Germany. She stayed on to pursue her PhD under the co-supervision of Stefan Schweinberger and Annett Schirmer. Her interests lie with musicality and how musicality is relevant in our ability to perceive vocal emotions.

Clare Cham (M.Phil. Student)
Clare obtained her bachelor’s degree majoring in Psychology from CUHK. She is currently working as a research assistant for Prof. Annett Schirmer. Her main interest is in understanding the features, neural interactions, and mechanisms behind affective touch.
