I’m based out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, though I spend a lot of time in Livingston Parish as well. My journey into the world of radio began with scanning using an RTL-SDR, which sparked my interest in the hobby. This led me to get both my GMRS and Technician licenses.
In addition to my love for radio, I’m also passionate about computers, photography and technology.
See you on the air, 73!
I brought an assortment of radios to the college so me and Thomas could test some things and so the students could see how cool radios are!
This radio, a Motorola CDM750 UHF 40W, became the classroom radio. If you are in Louisiana near Livingston Parish, you may hear me (KJ5KEF/WSEP298) or Thomas (KE5AUS/WSET302), maybe even some other students throwing our callsigns out there on this radio! We are hoping to get more of the other students involved in radios and get their GMRS and maybe HAM licenses!
