Why Counselling?

At some point in our lives we are all likely to face difficult circumstances, painful memories, problems, and emotions that may seem overwhelming. Counselling is known as a “talking therapy” and allows people to discuss these difficulties in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental atmosphere. Generally people seek counselling when they want to explore and understand their feelings in more depth, and/or they want to change something in their lives.

It is not a guaranteed or quick fix solution, but with time and commitment it can help many people come to terms with the past, gain new insight about themselves and their present situation, and make informed choices about their future.

As a Counsellor my role is not to provide you with answers, but to use all my skills, experience and knowledge to support and empower you in reaching your own understanding and finding your own direction.
