In addition to my training and qualifications the most important things for you to know about me are that I am non-judgemental, warm and empathic. I recognise that people are complex and unique, so I listen deeply and attentively in order to understand you as an individual. I appreciate that opening yourself up to a stranger can be a big step fraught with anxiety and vulnerability. I genuinely feel it is a precious gift to be entrusted with your thoughts and feelings.

Counselling is not just a job, it is something I passionately believe in, and its ability to be life changing. It is something I know from experience. I also know how powerful it can be to develop deep human connections where we can be fully ourselves. These connections can be the catalyst to understanding ourselves and bringing about change and growth. Counselling is a journey we go on together.

I trained as in Integrative Counsellor, which (avoiding the jargon) means that I work in a variety of different ways according to a client's needs and goals. Predominantly however, I use Person Centred Therapy (PCT).

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and am an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society: NCPS.Com working under their code of ethics.

I see individual adults of all race, gender, orientation and faith in one-to-one sessions. I attend regular clinical supervision, hold professional indemnity insurance and an enhanced DBS check. I also attend Continuous Professional Development courses through the year.

My counselling fees are £50 per session payable in advance by bank transfer. Should you need to cancel an appointment please aim to give me 48 hours notice, and I will do the same. My fees are reviewed annually.
