About me and how I work

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society, working under their code of ethics: nationalcounsellingsociety.org

I see individual adults of all race, gender, orientation and faith in one-to-one sessions. I work integratively, which means I draw upon a number of different models of counselling, using what best fits you, the client, and your needs. Predominantly however, I use Person Centred Therapy (PCT) and aim to provide a warm, gentle, confidential and non-judgemental space in which we can explore together your inner thoughts and emotions. This non-directive support can enable you to gain new insights and implement desired changes.

New clients are asked to attend an initial consultation. This enables us to decide if we wish to work together and, if so, we would then decide upon the approximate number of sessions before reviewing the process. Once we have agreed to work together each of us would sign a client contract. Each session lasts 50 minutes and sessions are usually held at the same time each week. In order to be GDPR compliant, all clients are asked to sign a privacy policy.

Fees & Cancellation Policy

My counselling fees are £45 per session, including the initial consultation. Payment is due at the start of each session by debit card or cash. Should you need to cancel an appointment please give a minimum of 48 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are chargeable at the full fee. I review my fees annually.
