Client Contract

This is a copy of the contract which we will both sign at the end of your first session should you decide that you want to proceed with counselling,

Fees:

The charge for each 50 minute session is £45, payable at the beginning of each session by cash or debit card.

Cancellation:

If you need to cancel a session with less than 48 hours notice, you will be offered an alternative appointment in the same week where possible. If this cannot be arranged then you may still be charged.

Punctuality:

Clients are requested to arrive on time as there is no available waiting area should you be more than a couple of minutes early. Clients arriving late will still end their session at the appointed time.

Confidentiality:

Everything we talk about is regarded as confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone else except in the following circumstances:

In line with NCPS (National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society) ethical guidelines, Counsellors are required to have regular supervision, at which aspects of your counselling may be discussed. Supervision ensures that the Counsellors practice is regularly reviewed and monitored, and gives opportunity for a different perspective.

If there is cause for concern either for your safety, or the safety of someone close to you, then consultation with a third party, such as your GP may be sought. These are exceptional circumstances and your consent would be sought first where practicable.
