I am first and foremost the proud husband of Anne Bernard-Bourgeois and father of Alexandre and Jérémie.
We are a loving family, the most important ‘thing’ in my life. My community is a close second.
Anne and I are a couple since 1989. She is a Director of schools at Anglophone East School District.
I am a researcher. My specialty is public policy analysis. I achieved my PhD in that subject.
My research focuses on municipalities, health authorities, school boards and regional service commissions.
In my work, I help government and non-government organisations plan and evaluate their actions and achieve results by adopting and implementing governance policies and strategic and operational plans.
I have published one book and 26 scientific articles, as well as over 60 applied research reports.
I have volunteered on ten community organisations and sat on the board of directors of 7 of these organisations.
I have also been elected to one of our local school boards and twice to Moncton City Council.
