Bouncin' Round the Bay
This one-of-a-kind camp experience is open to 25 kids per session who are active, curious and have a love for the local outdoors. Campers will experience the splendor of many of the Bay Area’s treasures, but please understand that the weekly and daily schedule is ambitious. Since every day is a field trip, we will be constantly on the move, often leaving one site to head to another, mostly on foot. We will stop to take breaks and have lunch, but part of the camp’s objective is to keep the kids moving and their interest piqued. On some days transportation will be provided by a private passenger bus. Other days we will use public transportation, including Caltrain, BART, and San Francisco Muni Streetcars. Ryan Carroll and Chris Collins will chaperone the kids in small groups, and there will be an additional pair of responsible eyes assisting with the supervision. This camp is for students who are entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
The campers will be kayaking this summer, either in McCovey Cove or Half Moon Bay depending on the session.
Each two-week session will include a private tour of the Carolands Mansion on the last day of camp.
A trip to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and a ride on the Giant Dipper will be a highlight of each session.
