Ryan Carroll is a 6th and 7th grade teacher at Crocker Middle School. When he is not teaching about history, you can find him running around Hillsborough while coaching cross country. Ryan has taught at Crocker for 19 years, but before that he was a camp counselor in Millbrae and at Stanford. He was also a youth leader on trips to Peru and South Africa. His favorite summer activities include wiffle ball, free throw contests, and learning about local history. Ryan will be a cohort leader for BRTB Summer 2025.

Chris Collins is in his 21st year as a teacher at Crocker Middle School. Overall, he has 20 plus years experience in middle school as a teacher and administrator. In addition to teaching, Chris has extensive experience working at various day camps during the summer. Chris enjoys local history and exploring new and exciting trails in and around the Bay Area. Chris is also an avid fan of the Giants, Niners and Warriors. Chris will be a cohort leader for BRTB Summer 2025.

He is the proud father to three girls.
Tim Raffo is a 5th grade teacher at South Elementary School. He has been teaching for 20 years but worked in the district for 23 years, first working for the Hillsborough Rec. Department and maintenance before becoming a teacher in 2005. When he is not teaching, he enjoys shooting hoops, golfing, and hiking with his family. Tim will be a cohort leader for BRTB Summer 2025.

He rowed crew for 4 years at college, Seattle University, WA
His "happy place" is laying on the beach or pool-side in Maui
During the Pandemic, with his son Chase, assembled 8 puzzles, a totaling of 5,350 pieces
Joey Ogle is an 8th grade Science/Makerspace teacher at Crocker Middle School. While in his 19th year of teaching, this is his 8th year with the Crocker family. Hailing from Santa Barbara, CA, he has called the Bay Area home for the last 5 years, settling in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Joey's life goal is to step foot in all 197 countries on Earth and is currently at country 37. One of his favorite memories is being invited to a local Greek gathering, in the middle of an orchard, on the Greek Island of Corfu where he learned a traditional Greek dance. Joey has led group trips to Washington DC, directed multiple summer camps, and has coached youth sports for many years. Joey will be a cohort leader for BRTB Summer 2025.
Fun Facts about Mr. Ogle:
Snowboarding is his passion and visits at least 2 new mountain resorts every season.
Grew up in a small farm town of fewer than 6,000 people.
He prefers the mountains to the beach.

Sarah Norris is a 6th, 7th & 8th grade Spanish teacher at Crocker Middle School and has been teaching in the district for 11 years. When she is not teaching, Sarah enjoys cooking, traveling with friends and trying new foods. During the summer, she likes visiting her small hometown which sits on a large lake. Spending time boating and being on the water is her favorite pastime during her favorite season – summer. Sarah will be a cohort leader for BRTB Summer 2025.
Fun Facts about Miss Norris:
She lived outdoors for 2 months in an open-air cabin/tent during summer.
She learned to drive on a manual transmission and was not allowed to get her license unless she took her test in a stick shift.
She loves country music.
Josh Bowie teaches Physical Education, Athletic Development, Martial Arts & Yoga at Crocker Middle School. When not teaching at Crocker, he is also a Varsity Football Coach at Woodside High School in Woodside, CA. In addition to teaching and coaching, he enjoys family, travel and regularly supervises school trips to Los Angeles, San Diego, Yosemite, Washington DC, Arizona & Utah! Josh will be a cohort leader for BRTB Summer 2025.

Ariana Dumpis is a 7th and 8th grade History teacher at Crocker. She has taught History for over 10 years at Crocker. In her free time she enjoys playing soccer, swimming, traveling and coaching cross country with Mr. Carroll. In high school and college, Ariana spent many summers working as a camp counselor at Girl Scout camps and a choir camp. Ariana will be a cohort leader for BRTB Summer 2025.

She was a radio DJ for KCSB FM 91.9 at UC Santa Barbara for four years during college.
She has two crazy dogs named Muddy and Hazel.
