The Department of Botany was established in the year 1984.
The courses offered by the Botany Department are UG, PG,Ph.D. The Department also participates in the courses offered by Biotechnology and Cosmetology. The Department has well-equiped laboratories for UG and PG students. The Department also has a separate Research Laboratory for pursuing Ph. D.
The Department started M. Sc (by Research) in (2002-03), Ph. D (Botany) in (2004-05) and Ph. D (Biotech) from 2004-05 onwards.
The Department has funding for research and laboraties facilities by FIST, STAR and CPE.
The VISION of the Department is to establish Academic Industry Interface by using Biological Techniques.
Mission of the Department is to Impart Skill Training for the students making them Industry Ready.
