The Department has well equipped laboratories for undergraduate and post graduate courses. The Department is also well equipped with Research Laboratory for Plant Tissue culture, Algal Culture, Phytochemistry and Instrumentation Room.
Instrumentation room: UV-visible Spectrophotometer, PCR, Laminar Air Flow, Deep Freezer, Fluorescence Microscope.

The Department has a separate library which comprises of different reference books, journals, text books and practical handbooks for the students.
BOTANICAL GARDEN
BOTANICAL GARDEN
The Botanical garden has a collection of over 200 species of plants belonging to 186 genera from 103 families of plants. Its special features include a collection of medicinal and aromatic plants, some rare, endemic and endangered plant species like Pterocarpus santalinus (Raktchandan), Aquillaria agallocha (Agarwood), Nothapodytes foetida, Commiphora wightii (Guggul), Garcinia indica (Kokum), Dipterocarpus and Plants of special botanical interest.

Green House and shade house are useful in the process of hardening of Tissue cultured plants. Also, some orchid species and shade loving plants are grown in shade house.
