St Barnabas
Free of charge end of life care for everyone in Lincolnshire. Includes hospice at home, day therapy, wellbeing support (bereavement and welfare/benefits advice) and care in the hospice
Vitality
Gentle exercise for over 60s or those younger experiencing mobility issues
Butterfly Hospice
Respite and end of life care for someone considered to be in the last year of life, free of charge. People are provided with a single room in the hospice and are cared for 24hrs by the nursing team. The average length of stay is 10 days. End of life care is offered for two weeks, respite is usually offered for one week.
British Red Cross
Connecting Communities service offers up to three months of support to help people feel better connected and enjoy the benefits of being more involved in their local community.
Dementia Family Support Service
The service will provide information on dementia and advice on how to manage your condition, to help you stay independent for as long as possible. Our family support workers can also help you to navigate available services to find the right support for you.
Age UK Lincolnshire and South Lincolnshire
A range of services for people aged 50 and over including Insurance and Products, Home Support, includes cleaning, shopping, taking to appointments, a sitting service and Activities at Home, Information and Advice (over 60s in Boston Borough) helping to fill in forms such as AA and Blue Badge, as well as Benefits Checks, Support to community groups, Visiting Service
Local People's Project (Royal Voluntary Service)
Working with >50s to set up community solutions to reduce loneliness & isolation
Boston Dementia Cafe
If you have dementia or are caring for someone with dementia, come along to your local cafe.
You can meet others in a similar situation, in a relaxed social setting. You can spend time sharing information and experiences, or simply have a cup of tea and a chat. Friendly Alzheimer's Society staff and volunteers will be on hand to give you information and support, and there will be a range of refreshments available.
Community Good Neighbour Scheme
Run by local volunteers to provide day to day support for other residents who may need help on an occasional basis. For older people, the support may enable them to live independently in their own homes and communities for longer, and reduce feelings of social isolation: Examples of support are:
Befriending, dog walking and caring for pets if owners are ill
Errands and shopping, writing letters, filling in forms, help to use computers/internet, light gardening, transport to GP or clinics,, various household tasks eg changing light bulbs, tuning in TV's, moving furniture.
It is about local people helping their neighbours to enjoy a better quality of life.

•You are of state retirement age.
•You live in England or Wales.
•You are managing on a low income with savings of less than £4,000.
•You are not living in a residential care home.
If you live in England or Wales, are of state retirement age and are living on a low income, get in touch as our grants could help. We currently have three types of grants available:
Home essentials – to cover the cost of replacing everyday items, small home repairs and mobility adaptations.
Digital connection – can be used towards the cost of equipment, such as tablets and smartphones, as well as broadband costs.
Financial support – to help with unexpected bills and large costs, such as utility bills, funeral costs or moving fees.

Royal Voluntary Service Boston Area
Local People's Project in Boston is funded by People's Health Trust and supported by Royal Voluntary Service. We have funding and we want your expertise because you will decide how it will be spent.
Have to live in the Fenside area of Boston and adjoining parishes identified over 50, want to join a local group or activity, want to get involved in shaping the community.
