Research thrusts

My research focuses on the transport of magnon, spin, and orbital moment under the influence of electric current, thermal gradient, surface acoustic waves, short laser pulses, and ultrafast demagnetization in a variety of materials and interfaces. A key research objective is to efficiently control the magnetization dynamics for the imminent nonvolatile magnetic random access memory (MRAM) application. I've shared a glimpse of the research theme here, and I'm enthusiastic about embracing innovative research ideas contributed by my students.
