We welcome enthusiastic students from diverse backgrounds, including Electrical/Electronics /Physics/Material Science/Computer Science/Nanoscience/Instrumentation, who aspire to explore the fundamental physics of solid-state electronic devices. Feel free to reach out for an appointment via email, or drop by my office anytime I'm available for a chat.
For senior researchers, please apply with a CV and a cover letter (1-2 pages) outlining your experience, future research goals, reasons for joining my group, and the expertise you bring.
Students in the group will gain skills in thin-film growth, nanofabrication, and device characterization, enhancing their prospects in academia and industry. We prioritize a good work-life balance, job satisfaction, and offer continuous mentorship in my group.
Requirement: Good skills in Python coding and a strong background in Physics.
Eligibility: Master's degree in ECE, EE, MS, Physics, Nanoscience, and equivalent streams.
Research domain: Spintronics
Tentative start date: July 15th 2025
1) A postdoc position is available in the areas of Micromagnetic simulations and DFT. The candidate will also take the lead in setting up various instruments by creating interfaces using Python. I encourage applicants to discuss the projects with me and then apply for IPDF/NPDF fellowships.
2) Two Ph.D. positions are open in the broad areas of spintronics, quantum devices, and nanoelectronics. Currently, there are no openings for short-term project assistants.
