Welcome to Bose-SpinLab @ IIT-K
About
My research focuses on experimental Condensed matter physics, spanning electronic devices, physics, material science, and nanotechnology. I am particularly interested in exploring diverse processes of spin-current generation driven by electric current, thermal gradient, surface acoustic waves, shining lasers, etc. My experimental investigations extend to various materials and interfaces, encompassing heavy metals, light metals, ferromagnets, topological quantum materials, 2D material heterostructures, and more. This exploration is conducted through the fabrication of nanoscale devices.
Before joining IIT Kanpur, I did postdoctoral research at Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, Germany (2021-2023) in Prof. Mathias Klaeui's group with the Alexander von Humboldt fellowship. Prior to that, I pursued postdoctoral research at Cornell University, NY, USA (2018-2021) in Prof. Daniel Ralph and Prof. Robert Buhrman's group. I completed my Ph.D. from IIT Bombay, India, in 2018 under the guidance of Prof. Ashwin Tulapurkar. I received my undergraduate degree (B. Tech) from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (2011).
