When your eye is too flat to focus far away objects
Sometimes called being far-sighted, meaning that your vision far away is better than your vision up close
Young patients can usually focus clearly with the zooming (accommodation) system
As your eyes get older, they lose their zooming ability and glasses will make things clear and comfortable
Usually patients will need reading glasses first, then later need glasses to see far away also
We can correct this with eyeglasses, contact lenses or laser vision surgeryÂ
