Forrest's Favorite Place

Little Forrest, with eyes bright and keen,

Loved the Cincinnati Zoo, a most wonderful scene.

Every visit was special, a grand, happy day,

Where wild, wondrous creatures came out to play.

First stop, past the entrance, he'd hurry and dash,

To see the great Hippo, with a powerful splash!

Fiona, the star, with her grin big and wide,

Would peek from the water, where she loved to abide.

Forrest would giggle and point with delight,

Watching her dance in the watery light.

"Oh, Hippo, dear Hippo!" he'd happily croon,

"You're big and you're lovely, beneath the bright moon!”

Then off to the Reptile House, quiet and cool,

Where slithery friends swam in clear, glassy pool.

He'd press his small nose to the glass, full of awe,

At the scales and the patterns, defying all law.

Green snakes, slow turtles, and lizards so grand,

Creeping and crawling throughout the whole land.

No shivers for Forrest, no fear in his soul,

Just wonder at creatures, completely in control.

From hippo's big splash to the snake's silent glide,

Forrest's heart was bursting, with joy deep inside.

The Cincinnati Zoo was his favorite place,

A smile always found on his sweet, happy face.
