We all love the film adaptation of Roald Dahl's book Matilda, and it's pretty hard not to adore the protagonist of the story, six-and-a-half-year-old Matilda (played by Mara Wilson in the film). There is one character, however, who isn't quite as lovable: the *ahem* evil Miss Trunchbull, played by Pam Ferris.
Miss Trunchbull is the tyrannical principal of the elementary school Matilda attends, and she constantly bullies the children. In the book, Dahl describes Trunchbull as looking, "more like an eccentric and rather bloodthirsty follower of the stag-hounds than the headmistress of a nice school for children."
