This week contains various lectures, a practice test of the ACFT, and the beginning of Basic Rifle Marksmanship. For the ACFT, this will be the first time for almost everyone to perform the test. This is just for practice and not for record. It is an excellent opportunity to practice all of the exercise events and see where you are physically. Additionally, a 2-mile ruck march will be performed. This is also a practice event to give people a sense of what the 4- and 6-mile ruck marches will feel like.
Also, this week, all students will participate in Charge of Quarter (CQ) Duties. Soldiers are assigned to guard the front entrance to the barracks. This is conducted from 2000 hours to 0500 each day. Each room will rotate each one-hour block for the rest of our time in the barracks. During these duties, you will have to call in to report accountability and also be given a section of common areas to clean.
