Enrollment: You need to work with your unit to enroll in this course. However, your unit does not provide orders. This comes from U.S. Army Reserve Command G1 (USARC G1) for Civil Affairs. Travel Orders from other commands may have a different path.
Steps to Enrollment:
Contact Mr. Lonnie Freeman, Training Technician with the E co 3-11 Infantry (DCC), 199th IN BDE to find out the dates of the courses for the Fiscal Year. Email at lonnie.j.freeman2.civ@army.mil or call (706) 545-7780. Your unit is unlikely to know this information.
Contact your unit's S1 and direct them to the USARC PAG Action website to submit and create your BOLC school request. Complete Forms 4187 and Checklist T15 (see below) to accompany your request.

BAH. Your physical home address listed on your orders must match the mortgage or rental agreement lease you have to get paid Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH). It is very hard to fix this after the fact.
Mr. Freeman or someone else with the DCC at Fort Benning will connect you to acknowledge that you are in the course. The email should contain the Welcome Letter, a general PPT about your role as an officer, a PDF of the Direct Commission Course Individual Assessment Plan (DCC ISAP), and the DCC Standard Operating Procedures (DCC SOP). The Welcome Letter provides useful information for your arrival, including a required and optional items checklist. It is highly recommended you bring as much equipment as possible with you. One day set aside at the start of the course to gather anything you may have missing, but you cannot rely on everything to be in stock. During Week 2, you will go to CIF (Central Issue Facility) to receive all of our TA50 equipment, including things like a rucksack, field equipment, helmet, and other gear you'll need for the rest of the course that you will turn in at the end.
USARC G1 will send your orders to your military email. Once you receive your orders from USARC, you need to email your orders to CTO and call CTO. You do not use DTS for this process. First, email orders to ORDERS@ALEXANDER-TVL.COM. Wait five minutes and then call CTO 800-709-2190, or EmergencyAfter hrs call 800-288-5999. The call is useless until the CTO agent can read the orders. You will also need your Travel Order # (top left of orders), GTCC number, DoD ID#, and any frequent travel numbers.
Plan to stay the night before the course at IHG Abrams Hotel. This is the best option as the hotel is on base, and getting a hotel off post can be risky. If you fly into Columbus, GA, you will take a Yellow Taxi to get on base and IHG. Uber/Lyft vehicles are not authorized. Charge this to your GTCC. DO NOT wait until the last minute to reserve this room. This hotel books up fast. If not, you will have to find housing off-base this night.
The DCC SOP contains important Required Knowledge in an Appendix. Start learning this early and make index cards of the information. Below is an attached Word document of the information. It is up to your to verify the accuracy of the individuals in the Chain of Command and NCO Support Channel.
