Instrument Hire

All pupils taking instrumental lessons through Brent Music Service must have an instrument at home to practise between lessons.

The following instruments can be hired through BMS: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe, Bassoon, Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone, French Horn, Tenor Horn, Euphonium, Tuba. 

We do not currently hire guitars or keyboards.

Hire Charges

Instruments are subject to availability and you will be informed of any issues at the time of submitting your hire application

• 12 months =£75

• 4 months (approx. one term) =£30

If your child is eligible for a Pupil Premium Grant, a reduced Hire Charge will apply: £25 for a 12 month hire/£10 for a 4 month hire. Your school  will be asked to confirm eligibility for this reduced charge.

How to request an instrument for hire

Email  instruments@brentmusicservice.com to request a hire instrument.

Your email should include: 

• Your child's name

• School 

• Which instrument you wish to hire 

• If requesting a string instrument (e.g. violin) please also include the size your child requires - your child's BMS tutor can advise on this
