We’re aiming to provide New Yorkers with pricing for fresh produce around the city and food bank locations. Many New Yorkers are not able to find inexpensive healthy food options, as a result these New Yorkers will tend to choose less healthy options or consume less food. We can use crowdsourcing to populate a map of natural healthy produce prices and where they are being sold. This way more New Yorkers can have access to healthier produce/foods at a reasonable price.
This is a website that was created to help those in need of free food resources. It was also created to help allow restaurants, food trucks, grocery stores, and anything in between to becoming more waste-free by giving back to the community. We are students in Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) on a project called "Zero Hunger" for our Spring 2021 Make-A-Thon. We do this to help others in need of food.
Our mission is to provide educational help to students K-12 around the world to reduce poverty. There are many children around the world who want to study and get out of poverty what they might don’t know about the resources or chances that are given to those children or students who really want to do something for their families. Our mission is to ask for help and give help. For example, asking people who are interested in helping students, collecting their information, evaluate their needs, and providing them help.
Many Americas believe that protecting natural resources is very important. We can improve access to clean drinking water and reduce water waste. We think by using node-red flows and dashboards can help us to build a water quality dashboard. This idea requires us to use GeoJSON.
We want to create a website to connect businesses or organizations that are willing to provide help to non-political and non-profit organizations in our countries (E.x Dominican Republic, Venezuela) to provide equipment specialized to purify and clean the water, since those countries have very serious issues related to this service. Once the equipment is provided, organizations receiving the help would be able to report the progress to work with transparency.

We are building a platform where people can come and share experiences, this app will allow the community participate in a podcast to promote racial justice, In this era where social media has a deep influence on the youth We believe that a podcast that addresses violence in the community and coping skills can assist in the reduction of deaths.
Make a BMCC bot that can advise students on specific computer science degrees (Computer Science, Computer Network Technology, Geographic Information Science, and Computer Information Systems) and answer general questions that they may have about enrolling in BMCC, essentially creating an all around advisor bot.

Our system and chatbot are primarily focused on students in Computer Information Systems--we would like to help ease the (CIS) students into their major without the hassle of asking advisors (FAQ). We do this to help both the advisor and student skip information found on (BMCC)'s website.
The idea of this project is to help students to register for classes without having to meet with a human adviser. The chatbot will ask students for their Employee ID, and Full Name. Once the information is validated it’ll ask how it can help the student. If the student asks for help to remove the advisement hold, the student will have to provide his/her Major and degree plan.
We are a team of 4 students majoring in Computer Science. We decided to come up with a solution brought upon by the Covid-19 pandemic that helps companies and institutions better control the spread of the virus without compromising an employee/student's privacy. Additionally we seek to provide a tool to help users track their symptoms to share with their doctor.
Our mission is to provide a platform for those who are in need of online educational content and don't know where to start and where to get access to such resources. The need for online content may never be greater than it is today. Millions of people require high quality sources of learning which they can utilize from the comfort of their own home. We serves as a hub of those high quality sources, in order to help the many unemployed people spend less time searching for, and comparing sites and content. Our commitment is to help people unable to find the right courses from the right platforms, and get them employed in minimum time.
Due to the swift change to remote learning due to the Pandemic many students lost their sources of income. However remote learning still required students to have their materials to continue learning. We were inspired due to seeing that many of our peers can no longer afford the supplies they need for class. We didn’t want this to become a barrier to anyone's education. So we wanted to create Peer Share where students can support each other.
Our goal for this project is creating a website capable of providing students with a simple and quick transition into Distance Leaning, whilst supplying the user with as many tips necessary to be able to excel in the class through time management. This first rendition of our website specifically focuses on the age-range of 7-14 year old, in order to produce an MVP (minimum viable product) showcasing what we plan on accomplishing.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide. The economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic is devastating [4]. However, fraud rises in times of crisis. Since the start of COVID-19, cybercrime has increased 400% [5]. According to the US census bureau, 20% of the population of the US will be in the age group of 65+ by the end of 2020. That is almost 18 million people who are potentially at risk of cyber attacks.
We created this app to help smooth the process of life within COVID. Everything comes from your medical provider and your physician; your test results will be at your fingertips, all test results are accurate, and all notes are real. Normal life will slowly comeback with the use of our apps--things like traveling, going to school, eating at a restaurant, and more.
COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we communicate, learn, and receive education virtually. Deaf and mute people face a hard time communicating with other people for daily needs, tasks, and supplies. The deaf-mute people all over the world use sign language as a medium between them and others for communication. However, only people who have gone under special training can understand sign language to communicate with them. This leads to a big gap between normal deaf-dumb community and everyone else.
COVID-19 really made learning difficult for students, especially those whose English is not their first language. So, to minimize their struggles, we want to develop our idea to help them get their lectures in their language, this can not only help bilingual students understand their lectures, but also expand their vocabulary.
This project is build off prior work developed in summer 2020. Sumya Hoque, Stacey Rodriguez, Maria Andia, and Laura Gonzalez began developing the script for NAO robot and Watson chatbot as well as evedience based therputic method, such as cognitive therapy behavior, imersion therapy, and exposure therapy. We are a group of four students majoring in Computer Science at Borough Manhattan Community College. Each of us always has to think about how to give a contribution to our community. Finally, we have come with an idea which is called “COVID-19 GPS Hot Spot”: a tool to aid in social distancing.
Our initial goal was to create awareness on water crises but we have gone along to expand ways in which we can start important conversations about the issue at hand. CCH20 is not just a cause of water sustainability but it is a cause for bringing people together to join hands and create a binding force to save our planet and home.
Our solution aims to address how to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) navigate the COVID-19 pandemic since there is a lack of easily consumable information regarding COVID-19 directed at kids with ASD. Based on studies such as one published in the open access journal Molecular Autism in 2018 from Kanazawa University in Kanazawa, Japan, we know that robotic intervention has been proven to facilitate joint attention in children with ASD. Joint attention "refers to a social exchange in which a child coordinates attention with a social partner or aspect of the environment by the acts of eye-gazing and pointing or other verbal or non-verbal indications"[1]. Virtual Reality solutions as well as the chat bots have been successfully deployed for the autistic children[2,3]
Using the NAO Robot and IBM Chatbots, it provides at home assistance and offers a variety of therapy and a person to talk to during COVID-19 especially dealing with anxiety. The robot and chatbot provides help in dealing with general anxiety, school related anxiety, and anxiety relating to work during this time. The choice in which therapy the user would like allows the robot to communicate as a counsel and therapy session
Our goal is to integrate data from the CDC and New York City government agencies with IBM's Watson Assistant and machine learning to construct a chatbot that provides users with real-time data to help mitigate the effects of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). By incorporating web tools with the added convenience of Amazon Alexa integration, we hope to create a communication system that will help the public access COVID related information.
