Indiana STEM School Certification

IDOE's current guidance for seeking STEM School Certification or Recertification can be found on their website. Updates on deadlines and guidance are provided each year--ensure you are using the newest information available. 

The Indiana Department of Education has been designating K-12 public and non-public schools as STEM Certified for over ten years. While the specifics of that process have changed several times over that time, several aspects have stayed the same. School's seeking certification need to provide evidence in the form of data-driven artifacts supporting four domains of integrated STEM teaching and learning. 

The process of STEM school certification is not quick; it takes years to implement integrated STEM teaching and learning, as well as time to collect data necessary to describe the process and decision points along the way.
