The Simulated Emergency Test (SET) of the Ohio Section of American Radio Relay League (ARRL) in 2020 was held, as usual, on the first full weekend of October. We provided the following information for National Traffic System (NTS) Net Managers during the exercise planning phase.
For 2020, expect to have information about the SET exercise scenario making its way through the traffic nets September 30. The intense activity period will be October 3-4, 2020. Expect that your net will have significant traffic from participating ARES stations. You might need to operate long sessions, additional sessions, or otherwise adjust to meet the needs of the ARES operators.
If you want to receive exercise injects directly from a controller during exercise play, please register your net to play. You do not need to register to support ARES and other players.
The County Information Report Project 20 is a warm-up for the SET, providing opportunity for critical skills in the origination, relay, and delivery of radio messages.
