The County Information Report Project 20 (CIRP20) was an effort to exercise amateur radio station operators in fundamentals of radio message origination, relay, and delivery. Objectives are issued by an Assistant Section Emergency Coordinator, ARRL Ohio Section, to District Emergency Coordinators and Traffic Net Managers.Â
Each recipient was to follow the message's instructions, leading to messages being relayed into and delivered within the counties. New messages were originated from the counties and relayed back to the Section through District and Section traffic nets.
Status of this effort was shown below in real time, summarized by ARES District, or level of traffic net.
Late messages were accepted. Due dates were to help establish a regular operating rhythm needed to allow time to focus training, testing, and performance on a limited set of tasks at a time.
