The evidence of is essentially an interface that functions as a combination of Facebook/Instagram where people post about all the good moments in there life then combine with a 5 star rating system in which any was access to who rated you, the scores of the people you interact with regularly.
In China, there is a similar point system. People will get punished or rewarded based on their behaviors. However, the operation of the society is not around the system. As my first hand experience (Tianyang Gao), I can barely feel the system at all and it does not dominate my life for sure. Unlike the movie, the system in the movie is dehumanizing. Due the obsession to the system, people are abandoning their friendships and kinships in the movie. Naomi and Lacie's friendship is based on the point system. They want to use each other to get high points. Lacie gets angry because her brother thinks that she is too obsessed with the system. Therefore, this social scoring system in the movie is dehumanization and it is a little bit dramatic and unrealistic to our society.
